NOVA Chemicals Leadership Changes to Elevate Customer Experience
Jim Worby appointed as VP of Polyethylene Sales and Debra van Holst as Global Head of Customer Experience
Calgary, AB (January 9, 2024) – NOVA Chemicals today announced organizational changes that will continue to build on its strong momentum to become the leading sustainable polyethylene producer in North America and deepen its commitment to delivering an unrivaled customer journey.
Jim Worby, VP Polyethylene Sales
Recognizing his deep understanding of the market and our customers, Jim Worby has been appointed VP of Polyethylene Sales, effective February 1. An industry veteran, with more than twenty-five years at NOVA, Jim has a solid track record of driving growth and new business opportunities through a focus on building strong relationships with customers. In this role, Jim will lead NOVA’s sales team focused on the new capacity from the company’s second Advanced SCLAIRTECH™ technology facility in Ontario and delivering a broad portfolio of circular solutions including SYNDIGO™ rPE resins.
Jim succeeds Todd Becker as VP Polyethylene Sales who has elected to retire from NOVA on April 1, 2024, after 17 years with the company.
Debra van Holst, Global Head of Customer Experience
Naming Debra van Holst as Global Head of Customer Experience underscores NOVA’s commitment to placing customers at the core of its operations. In her nearly three decades with the company, Debra has held multiple leadership roles spanning operations, marketing, logistics and customer service, positioning her to drive change by focusing on what matters most to our customers.
In this newly created role, Debra will lead the continued development and implementation of customer experience initiatives across NOVA. She will work closely with cross-functional business groups to ensure that customer needs are at the forefront of all decisions, utilizing data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.
