The world is changing, and with it so are expectations for how companies develop resources, manufacture every-day products, and protect our environment for future generations. At NOVA Chemicals, we are excited to tackle these opportunities head on and lead the way in reshaping plastics for a better, more sustainable world.

Lead the development of and transition to circular plastics

We are committed to building a state-of-the-art mechanical recycling business by 2030. We have the product development and engineering skills to produce recycled plastics for the most demanding and premium applications.

We will continue to explore new advanced recycling technologies to create high-quality, high-performance recyclable and low carbon plastics for food-grade and other applications.

Shape and sustain a low carbon, zero-plastic-waste future

We have developed a technical solutions-focused roadmap for decarbonizing our asset base by improving energy efficiencies, electrifying and acquiring renewable power, and exploring clean hydrogen as a low carbon fuel source and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS).

We will also continue to pursue new technologies to abate and eliminate emissions from our production processes, such as our proprietary Low Emissions Ethylene Process (LEEP™) technology.

Be the leading sustainable plastics producer in North America

We will unlock the full potential of our people and partnerships to achieve our decarbonization and circularity goals and become a Top 30 Canadian company.

Building on our Advanced SCLAIRTECH™ technology, we will explore the expansion of our product portfolio to include the development of polymers to better serve existing customers and provide more options for sustainability-focused end markets such as electric vehicles and renewables.
