NOVA Chemicals contributes to Alberta Flood Relief Efforts
Calgary, Alberta (June 25, 2013) – NOVA Chemicals announced today that it is donating $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to assist with the flood relief efforts taking place throughout Southern Alberta. NOVA Chemicals will also match its employee contributions to the Canadian Red Cross up to an additional $100,000 to extend the company’s reach into nearby communities.
“We are committed to the safety and well-being of our communities and want to support outreach to those that have experienced the devastation of these floods,” said Randy Woelfel, NOVA Chemicals CEO. “Calgary is our Head Office and we want to lend our support to the many agencies and individuals that have already begun the extensive clean-up and recovery efforts. We also want to recognize the tremendous response from the local leaders, emergency response personnel and human service agencies that have been on the front lines since this situation began.”
