Mona Jasinski

SVP, HR & Communications

Mona Jasinski is the Senior Vice President, HR & Communications, and is responsible for leading NOVA Chemicals’ HR and Communications functions, including talent management, leadership development, learning, compensation and benefits, along with overseeing the company’s brand and reputation management. Jasinski joined NOVA Chemicals in January of 2021. Her years of experience in human resources and organizational effectiveness experience has helped her become an expert in strategy, leadership effectiveness and talent management.

Prior to joining NOVA Chemicals, Jasinski was Executive Vice President People and Culture at Vermilion Energy. She spent eleven years with Vermilion Energy where she was responsible for HR, Sustainability, Communications and Community Investment. Prior to that she worked for Royal Dutch Shell, TransCanada Pipelines and in Management Consulting specializing in strategy, leadership effectiveness and talent management.

Jasinski earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary and an ICD.D designation through the Institute of Corporate Directors. She currently serves as President of the Board of Governors of the Calgary Petroleum Club and is also a board member of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Calgary YWCA from 2012-2017 as Chair of the Governance Committee.
