The result of an idea generated back in the early 1970's, we've been located here in the heart of Central Alberta for more than 35 years.

We want to provide you — our community — with information about Joffre Site facilities, how we work with our stakeholders, our contributions to quality of life in Central Alberta, and the responsible way we operate our facilities.

Construction has concluded on the expanded polyethylene facilities at the Joffre Site which included a world-scale polyethylene reactor (R3). The R3 Project increased Joffre’s Polyethylene Production by approximately 1 billion pounds annually and the project provided a significant economic boost locally and provincially. The project also exceeded the goals of zero net tree loss, minimizing impacts to neighbours, and making valuable donations to community agencies and programs. For more information on the project view the infographic.
