SYNDIGO1 – Our First Mechanical Recycling Facility
Located in Connersville, Indiana, the facility leverages a state-of-the-art design and world-class equipment to produce highly advanced recycled polyethylene resins made from post-consumer films. The facility will produce a range of recycled polyethylene resins for use in an abundance of applications including demanding food packaging products.

Plastic films collected from retail and distribution centers will be processed into pellets and sold as NOVA Chemicals’ SYNDIGO rPE (rLLDPE) with an estimated production of 110M lbs. annually by 2026.

  • That is 145,000 bales of plastic that will be processed and not placed in the landfill.
  • Which is 14,000 bales per month.
  • Or, 400 bales per day.
  • For context, that’s 9.7MM ft3 of film collected and diverted from landfills each year. That’s enough to fill four professional football fields to the top of the goal posts!
