NOVA Chemicals’ occupational safety programs are designed to protect employees and contractors. That’s why we’ve established a business relationship with ISN to screen and maintain our contractor and supplier safety information. We are committed to working with those who value our commitment to safety. The ISNetworld system allows NOVA Chemicals to monitor contractor safety statistics, written Health, Safety and Environmental programs as well as insurance information through a centralized database. NOVA Chemicals is implementing SAP Ariba for sourcing, contracting, invoicing and performance management.  Accordingly, we will require contractors to be enabled on the Ariba Network

  • Invoices – process, address and contacts
  • Fundamental processes for change notices, change orders, RFIs
  • NOVA Chemicals uses a 360 Evaluation process to evaluate contractor performance and identify areas of continuous improvement within our own systems

NOVA expects contractors to enter into one of our standard form agreements. Documentation that may be required:

  • Certificates of insurance
  • Contractor Safety management program manual
  • ITP
  • Org chart
  • Detailed work schedule
  • List of subcontractors

Regular reports – exposure hours, progress, lookahead

Prior to work starting

Once you’ve qualified and prior to starting work at NOVA Chemicals, you will review the company’s expectations and will participate in trainings and orientations. Some examples include
