NOVA Chemicals, Pregis Announce Plan to Fund Uzima Clean Water Mission
Packaging manufacturer donates profits from Inspyre line made with NOVA Chemicals film resins
Calgary, AB (November 17, 2020) – NOVA Chemicals Corporation (“NOVA Chemicals”), a leading producer of chemicals and plastic resins, and Pregis, a major supplier of protective packaging solutions, are teaming up to support the Uzima Clean Water Mission (Uzima). The Atlanta-based charity manufactures and donates water filters to help vulnerable, at-risk populations around the world gain access to clean water.
To support the clean water mission, NOVA Chemicals is donating film resins to Pregis for the production of its Inspyre brand, a colorful line of hybrid-cushioning protective packaging. A portion of proceeds from Inspyre packaging sales are donated to the Uzima Clean Water Mission. The resins provided by NOVA Chemicals will enable to Pregis to provide greater financial support to Uzima.

Uzima was conceived in 2012 out of a desire to serve Kenya’s rural inhabitants with clean, safe water. Launched in 2015, Uzima consists of two companies: The Uzima Clean Water Mission, which works with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government entities, non-profit organizations, and donors to implement global clean-water solutions; and Uzima Filters, which manufactures and sells the company’s proprietary water filters. The clean water program has expanded beyond Kenya to become an international mission.
