DDN MULTI-COAT

An alliance consisting of three independent companies - DuPont Powder Coatings, DuPont, and NOVA Chemicals Corporation - created DDN Multi-Coat. Traditionally, pipeline companies had to go to a number of sources for their coating solutions; however, DDN Multi-Coat has simplified this process. Through the DDN Multi-Coat alliance, these three international companies are dedicating full resources to advance the coatings industry and help prevent pipeline corrosion.

One of our primary goals is to provide customers with the right solution for their specific coating application and DDN Multi-Coat has had many global successes - providing cost-saving solutions and major benefits to customers around the world including oil, gas, water and product pipeline applications.

Each company contributes to DDN Multi-Coat by providing specific areas of expertise to deliver seamless solutions to our customers:

  • NOVA Chemicals Corporation brings NOVAPOL® high-density polyethylene top coats
  • DuPont brings FUSABOND® adhesive
  • DuPont Powder Coatings brings Nap-Gard® fusion-bonded epoxy

    The DDN Multi-Coat alliance not only supplies coating materials but also works with coating applicators and end-users to provide coating solutions. For oil and gas companies developing new pipelines for energy self-sufficiency, DDN Multi-Coat provides excellent corrosion and mechanical wear protection for steel pipe under a variety of hostile conditions. This product is primarily used on landlines and offshore pipelines.
