Through the efforts of the trade associations that NOVA Chemicals participates and
supports, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ruled that food packaging and
packaging components would be excluded from the final bioterrorism food safety
regulations. Without these efforts, NOVA Chemicals and many of our customers would
be required to register with the FDA and provide advance, detailed notices to the FDA
about imported food packaging or packaging components.
