NOVA Chemicals has a rich history, with roots beginning more than 50 years ago in southeastern Alberta, Canada, as The Alberta Gas Trunk Line Company. On July 2, 1998, NOVA Chemicals Corporation was launched as an independent, publicly traded chemical company. The company is incorporated in Canada with executive offices in Pittsburgh, PA, and is listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges as NCX.

Today, NOVA Chemicals produces plastics and chemicals that are essential to everyday life. Our current businesses and joint ventures focus on two product chains: ethylene and polyethylene - styrene and polystyrene. We develop value-added products and technology for customers worldwide that produce consumer, industrial and packaging products.
